Implement Traffic Management Plans

This course provides training for applicants who are required to set up and work with Traffic Control Guidence Schemes/Traffic Control Plans at a worksite.

This course does not qualify an applicant to control traffic with a Stop-Slow Bat, or modify existing traffic control plans.

There is a requirement to complete 3 units of competency when undertaking this course in NSW.  They are:

RIIWHS201D Work Safely and Follow WHS Policies and Procedures
RIICOM201D Communicate in the Workplace
RIIWHS302D Implement Traffic Management Plans

This course will take 1 full day to complete and will need to be assessed on 3 live projects.

There are currently no pre-requisites to attending this training but to gain employment in this field, you will be required to hold the Construction Induction White Card before you can set foot on site.

Work Safely in Construction Industry

Pre-requisites: Must produce 100 points of identification as specified by Safework NSW (WorkCover NSW).

Literacy: Must be able to read and write English.

Course Duration: 1 day

Outcome:
- Statement of Training (SOT)
- Statement of Attainment
- Construction Induction Card

IMPORTANT

The combination of ID documents for the White Card course must show; a photo, a sample signature, date of birth and a current residential address (A PO Box number CAN NOT be accepted) .

All documents must be current and in the name of the applicant (Passports expired not more than two years and not cancelled are acceptable). Documents showing only initials can not be accepted (except a Council rates notice).

Control Traffic with Stop-Slow Bat

This course provides training for applicants who are required to control traffic with a Stop-Slow  Bat.  This course does not qualify an applicant to set up or work with traffic control plans.

There is a requirement to complete 3 units of competency when undertaking this course in NSW.  They are:

RIIWHS201D Work Safely and Follow WHS Policies and Procedures
RIICOM201D Communicate in the Workplace
RIIWHS205D Control Traffic with Stop-Slow Bat

This course will take 1 full day to complete and will need to be assessed on 2 separate occasions.

There are currently no pre-requisites to attending this training but to gain employment in this field, you will be required to hold the Construction Induction White Card before you can set foot on site.  Depending on the Organisation you are applying to, in some instances you may need to hold a drivers licence so please check with the traffic control Organisations.

Work Safely at Heights

This course is delivered over 1 day and is appropriate for those working in operational roles where they are required to perform work at heights.  Elements required to be undertaken include:

Identify work requirements

Identify work procedures and instructions

Access and install equipment

Perform work at heights

Clean up work area

Upon successful completion, all applicants will receive a Statement of Attainment and a Photo ID Card in which they can carry on their persons.

Operate Tractors

Pre-requisites: Must have a current C Class driver Licence and basic literacy and numeracy skills

Course Duration: 1 - 2 days depending on prior experience

Location: On-ste at employers place of business

Course numbers: 4 - 8

Outcome: Statement of Attainment as issued by Registered Training Organisation
